The Edifier New-X Pro is a mains-powered wireless Bluetooth speaker for desks and shelves that plays over Bluetooth 5.3 with LDAC, AirPlay 2 or USB audio and doubles as a 65 W GaN charger. Rated 15 W treble + 30 W mid/bass, it suits computer and phone users who want one box that plays and charges.
Who the Edifier New-X Pro is for
Desk and PC setups: In USB sound-card mode it becomes the audio output for a Windows 7–11 PC or a Mac, and a 3.5 mm AUX input covers other sources.
iPhone, iPad and Mac households: AirPlay 2 streams to it over Wi-Fi, and Edifier lists linking several units together.
Android phones with LDAC: Bluetooth 5.3 supports LDAC on phones that offer it, with a rated range of more than 30 m in open space.
Desks short on chargers: The built-in 65 W GaN supply charges through two USB-C ports (up to 65 W on a single port) and a USB-A port (up to 60 W), enough for phones, tablets or many USB-C laptops.
Skip it if: you want a speaker to carry outdoors: it runs on AC power with no built-in battery listed, weighs 2.79 kg, and Edifier warns against exposing it to rain or moisture.
