The KZ AS16 Pro packs 16 balanced armature drivers — eight per side — with no dynamic driver in the mix, tuned toward HiFi bass monitoring with passive noise isolation from the sealed fit. This is the version without a microphone.

All-BA designs behave differently from single-dynamic IEMs: the presentation tends toward speed and separation, and getting bass out of armatures rather than a moving diaphragm is exactly the engineering problem KZ is solving with the driver count here. Choose the no-mic version if these live on a desktop amp or DAP where a cable-mounted mic is dead weight, and pick the mic version instead if they're going on a phone. Passive isolation makes them a reasonable stage or commute option.
