ONIX Beta XI2: a portable USB DAC and amp dongle that sits above the Alpha model in ONIX's lineup, aimed at enthusiasts building a serious portable rig around wired IEMs and headphones. It runs off the phone or laptop it plugs into, so there's no separate battery to look after.
Who the ONIX Beta XI2 is for
Upgraders from an entry-level dongle: It's a step-up source for when a basic dongle no longer gets enough out of your IEMs or headphones.
Portable-rig builders: Digital-to-analog conversion and amplification sit in one pocketable dongle.
Phone and laptop listeners: It draws power from the device it's plugged into, so there's nothing extra to charge.
Skip it if: You want a battery-powered DAC/amp you can use without a cable — the Beta XI2 plugs into, and runs off, your phone or laptop.
