The HD 550 is a 237-gram open-back with angled 150-ohm dynamic drivers, tuned more neutral and more spacious than Sennheiser's older HD 5-series. It is sensitive enough that a decent dongle DAC drives it properly — no desktop amp required to get it to volume.

Good fit for long desk sessions, mixing reference and general critical listening where comfort matters as much as tone.
