The D10 is SMSL's first dongle DAC and it does not hedge: dual CS43131 chips, both 3.5mm and 4.4mm balanced outputs, and up to 500mW into 16 ohms from a 17.5-gram stick. Decoding covers 32-bit/384kHz PCM and native DSD256, and the USB-C cable is detachable so a worn cable doesn't kill the unit.

That power comes at a cost — it draws more phone battery than gentler dongles, so it suits listeners who mostly run it from a laptop, or who don't mind topping up. If you own harder-to-drive IEMs or a light pair of full-size headphones, this is the class of dongle worth stepping up to.
