The FiiO K11 R2R is a desktop R2R DAC and headphone amplifier with DSD decoding, selectable NOS and OS modes, and RCA, coaxial and optical inputs handling up to 384 kHz/24-bit. R2R ladder conversion has historically been expensive territory, and the K11 R2R is one of the shorter paths into it.

The NOS/OS switch is the part worth playing with: non-oversampling and oversampling modes give you two genuinely different takes on the same file, and which one you prefer often depends on the recording. With coaxial and optical alongside USB, it also works as the hub for a desk that has a computer, a console and a CD transport all wanting the same headphones.
