The SMSL C200 combines a DAC and headphone amplifier around an ESS ES9038Q2M converter, handling DSD512 and PCM to 32bit/768kHz, with a balanced TRS output and Bluetooth on board. It's one of the more complete compact desktop boxes SMSL makes.

The balanced TRS output is the reason to pick it over simpler all-in-ones: if your headphones are terminated balanced, or you're willing to recable or adapt, you get a differential output stage from a unit this size. Bluetooth covers casual phone listening, USB covers the computer, and the whole thing occupies about as much desk as a paperback. Good first serious desktop setup, and it stays useful as a DAC-only source if you later add a bigger amplifier.
